Documentary movie
In the Austrian case study, nature park Jauerling-Wachau, a documentary movie entitled ‚Kultur-Land-Schaft: Vom Leben und Wirtschaften im Naturpark Jauerling-Wachau’ was produced during the thrid cp³ project year. The movie is 40 minutes long and was realized by Finali Film & Wortschatz production. Director Jakob Brossmann, cinematographer Serafin Spitzer, and editor Lisa Zoe Geretschläger accompanied local stakeholders of the region during their every-day work routines and captured their commitment in preserving the unique cultural landscape of the nature park and its biodiversity. The film dives into the life of a region shaped mainly by small family farms and presents insights and statements on the situation in the nature park regarding the challenge to combine nature protection and biodiversity conservation with rural development and securing local livelihoods. The movie premiere took place at the cp³ Austrian national stakeholder workshop in Maria-Laach on April 16, 2018, with the film team present to discuss and engage with the workshop participants.
